Michele is a prolific independent artist with decades of experience in visual arts. In 1989 she embarked on a 20 year journey into visual arts and travel in the 3D sculptural art of hairdressing. She worked on national campaigns with famous celebrities and models in the film and print industry. This intense experience was yet another study of composition, spatial design and perspective. After leaving the film industry she worked her way back into painting and sculpture. A sports injury left her temporarily disabled when she honed her drawing skills and went back into painting and sculpture.
Most recently her work can be viewed in galleries in New England. She continues her daily art practice in her personal studio in East Providence Rhode Island. Michele’s sculptural materials range from found objects, metal, plaster and cement. They reveal a range of sizes from 1’ to 5’ and 1lbs to 250lbs. These figurative deconstructive objects demonstrate the artists’ courage of exploration. Michele continues to explore the medium of acrylic and oil paint. These paintings are rich in color, technique, brushstrokes and texture. She is passionate about mental health, woman’s issues, social justice and human rights.
